‘Mountain’

Climbing through my soul, wished for you today to be

Near my heart, but you were not there for you to save me.

Steeped aside a ridge, I felt your breath return in my ears

To prove myself worthy a love on terra firma and it’s tears.

Snow has whitened the fall of soot I saw in your eyes the day

My journey took, and the chimney sagged a sigh, little to say.

Bruised in time, a forgotten lily, hurt through despair and lame

My legs to carry me further, farther than any son of Britain.

Come to me sweet, and  feel my pain in flower’s for a brave soul

Washed in the six deep, bringing my waiting carcass to a home.

I said: ” no more my place here to hide, full fantasy and brine

Cleansing spirits light in azure blue, and all the saints divine”.

So I fling myself, and so wide it be, what sound, what view

And all for me again to see my pals, and bear my head too.

Merry cleansing in thought, breathing clouds of love, to look

At you in the distance, be there for all time, with some luck.
